To improve food security and support the growing number of local food producers, Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services-Agriculture Production Program is collecting soil samples from the Division of Agriculture’s cultivated and uncultivated farm plots in Kagman.

MMFF Lite is a six-session regenerative agroforestry training program hosted by Northern Marianas College – Cooperative Research, Extension, and Education Services. It teaches people how to grow and maintain a home food forest. The application period for the next cohort will open soon. Dreaming big with a passion for community service, Northern Marianas College student and former 4-H Marianas President Dan Salde completed the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Community College Aerospace Scholars or NCAS internship, a three-mission program designed to develop STEM knowledge and skills in community college students with an immersive experience in NASA’s mission goals, collaboration, and career pathways. This prestigious program provides a unique opportunity for students in the CNMI to gain valuable skills and explore exciting career paths in the aerospace industry.

Marianas High School student Sylvia Sanchez has been selected to serve on the Youth Leadership Team or YLT of the 2025 National 4-H Conference in Arlington, Virginia.

Rosabelle Surla, former 4-H Marianas State Youth Council public relations officer and Camp Maga’lahi overall lead counselor, has been appointed collegiate facilitator for the 2025 National 4-H Conference.
